Slugs as Pets - oh, please!

Here’s something for gardeners to think about. While we’re out there doing horrendous things to slugs – slicing, spearing, drowning, burning – some people cosset them indoors. No, really.

African Velvet Slugs are "nice", according to Exotic Pets. Not slimy, easy to keep and so easy to feed – just give them a range of fruit, vegetables and—wait for it—garden plants.

No change there, then…

I can see the fascination...just!

We have some friends who keep giant snails and they look quite fun.

Is there a greenfly club too ;-0)

Yes, but the greenfly club is very small - which makes it very difficult to bash them on the head...
