After reading that the winter aconite was already blooming as far north as Berwickshire at the beginning of January, I was beginning to fear that mine had succumbed to the winter wet. But no, at last they've appeared. Thank goodness, Spring is really on its way.

Sunshine indeed, Holleygarden. Perhaps that's why so many spring flowers are yellow - to remind us of what's on its way.

I love winter aconite for its cheerful yellow flowers that appear in late winter or earliest spring. Love this color...its looking beautiful!
